Jean L. Clark, 61, of Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Fresno, CA, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019, in Port Richey, FL.
She was born May 13, 1958, in Paris, France to Willard and Caroline Clark. Jean’s father was in the military and the family moved to several military bases while she was young. She graduated from high school in Fresno, CA. Jean was disabled and eventually joined the ARC program where she began working in a sandwich and baker’s shop where she made sandwiches and cookies. She also cleaned, dusted and vacuumed professional office suites. Jean later cut and pruned shrubs, mowed, and other landscaping duties for a professional lawn service while she was living in California.
In 2004, Jean moved to Pt. Richie Florida to be closer to her sister, Janet. She briefly worked at McDonald’s. While in California and in Florida, she loved the ARC programs that were available to her, including dancing once a month on Friday nights, bowling on Thursday nights where she received many medals and trophies. She also loved being a part of the special Olympics where she participated in swimming, gymnastics, and bowling. Jean’s hobbies included crocheting, latch hook kits, reading find-a-word books and watching old movies and programs on television. She looked forward to celebrating her birthday’s every year, as well as Christmas and her favorite foods were hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and ice cream (especially chocolate).
Survivors include her sisters and brother, Jackie Dickerson, Thornton, CO, Janet (Henry) Webster, Port Richy, FL, Jo (Darwin ‘Buddy” Aiken, Bremerton, WA, and Woody (Maricar) Clark of Fresno, CA, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and several uncles and aunts.
