Sharon McHugh Obituary

Sharon K. McHugh was born March 09, 1940, in Grand Island, NE to Amol J. and Sarah (Walker) McHugh and passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020, in the Waverly Care Center at the age of 80.

Sharon attended Grand Island Public Schools and after graduation became a trained nurses’ aid and also served as a nanny as she dearly loved little children. One of her favorite things to do was to distribute Halloween treats to all the young guests at the nursing home in Milford. She also liked to read her Bible and enjoyed quiet time.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Vivian Toben. Survivors include her siblings, Barbara Stevenson, Marilyn Schultz, Ron McHugh, Pat Fisher and Rick McHugh; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Inurnment will follow graveside services at the Grand Island City Cemetery at a later date. Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services, is in charge of arrangements.
